THE VOYAGING SKETCHBOOK

The Voyaging Sketchbook“ wird gestaltet von einer Gruppe von Usern in xing.com, die sich unter der Überschrift „SKETCHBOOKS“ zusammengefunden hat: aus einer Laune heraus ist der Plan entstanden, ein Skizzenbuch innerhalb der Gruppe kursieren zu lassen.

„The Voyaging Sketchbook“ is almost entirely in the hands of a user group in xing.com: having met under the group header „sketchbooks“ the idea sprang up all of a sudden in the group to circulate a real sketchbook within this rather virtual user group.

Natürlich soll es – so hoffen wir! – auch Gastillustratoren ausserhalb von xing.com geben, die unseren Horizont erweitern. Wir sind ein wild zusammengewürfelter Haufen: uns eint aber eine gewisse Leidenschaft für Skizzenbücher, Schreibkladden, Papier, Stifte, Farben, Illustrationen, Texte – eben die Leidenschaft für alles, was mit Papier – lose oder gebunden -, Stift und Farbe abzudecken ist.

Of course we would love to attract guest illustrators, who do not necessarily have to be members of xing.com, so that they can widen our horizon. We are a wild mix indeed, coming from various professions and walks of life – however, we are united by a certain passion for sketchbooks, notebooks of all kinds, paper, pencils, paints and colours, illustrations and texts: the passion for all which can be „covered“ by paper – no matter whether in its loose form or as bound versions – pen and colour.
